We reckon great kitchens should always have a Mainland Parmesan cheese block handy, ready to cook and create with. The hard texture and sharp taste will bring any dish alive with flavour.


Tasting notes

Dry to taste mouthfeel with rich complex pineapple tones that is slightly acidic with a sharp bite to it.

Making the Most of Mainland Parmesan

Mainland Parmesan is a hard dense granular cheese variety with a straw coloured hue to it. It has a yellowish rind and a strong bite that embodies rich fruity tones. Be sure to keep your Mainland Parmesan Cheese wrapped in wax or grease proof paper (as plastic wrap will make it sweat), whilst storing in your fridge. Otherwise the cheese will dry out very quickly and lose its texture. Roasting vegetables? Scatter parmesan shards over the top about 10 minutes before they’re ready for a tasty topping. Excellent grated over Italian or Mexican dishes (like our Bean and cheese enchiladas) sprinkled over, seafood or tossed through a salad. Available in a 200g block.

The pleasant sharp flavour and dense texture of Mainland Parmesan Cheese is achieved when it’s cooked, pressed and carefully matured. It takes 17 litres of milk to create just one kilogram of our Mainland Parmesan
